  • Why are we talking about the environment?

There are lots of questions today about the world around us and how we can best look after it. Science can help us think about this, and so can religious teachings, like those in the Bible (the holy book that Christians read).

The Bible teaches that God made and loves the whole universe, everything that has ever existed on earth and in outer space.

The Bible also teaches that God has asked all of us to help look after the planet and all living things. But sometimes people have chosen to do things that have been bad for the other people, animals and plants we share the planet with.

Many Christians believe that science is a wonderful gift from God that can help us work out how to take really good care of all the amazing creatures they believe he has made.
